Why Would a 27-Year-Old Know Anything About Medicare?

That is a good question! I started helping seniors with Medicare when I was 20 years old. Most people my age were figuring out college. I was going to senior centers and food banks, talking with seniors, learning their stories, and helping them find plans that worked best for them.

It’s been 7 years now and I’ve helped over a thousand people compare plans, check their prescriptions, and enroll on a plan they are happy with. I’m a licensed, independent broker who lives and works right here in Mesa. That means I work with more than one insurance company.. It does not matter to me what plan you enroll with, just that you are happy with it.

I know Medicare can feel overwhelming. Every person I talk to over 65 is relentlessly called asking for Medicare information. When you call me, you talk to me, not a call center, not a recording, not someone from another country. A real person you can understand easily.

Because I’m independent, I look at every plan I am contracted with. You see all your choices in one place and simplify the options so you are not overwhelmed.

It Costs You Nothing

My help is free. The pay structure for me is I get paid by the carrier and continue to get paid as long as you are on the plan, so I want you to be happy with what you have!

Not Sure Which Medicare Plan Is Right for You?

Here is a breakdown of the three main options. When you call I will help you figure out which one makes the most sense for your situation.

Most Popular

Medicare Advantage

This is a bundled plan that includes prescription drug coverage and ancillary benefits. Usually 0 Dollar premium but has co-pays included. You will also need to be within the network of the plan you choose.

Most Flexible

Medicare Supplement

You may have heard this as Medigap, I am not a fan of this name. This plan will cover the last 20% that original Medicare does not cover, the network is with anyone who accepts Medicare so there are lots of options. It has a high premium and does not include Prescription drug coverage or Extra benefits.

Drug Coverage

Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)

If you go with a Medicare Supplement plan you must get one of these plans otherwise you will get a penalty. They help cover your prescriptions, another premium to keep in mind. I will make sure we find a plan that covers your specific prescriptions.

Three Simple Steps to Get the Right Medicare Plan

It really is that easy!

1

Schedule a Call

Me and you will talk about your situation. I will get a list of your doctors, your prescriptions, and what matters most to you. I take that back and do research specifically for you.

2

Review Your Options Together

I compare plans from multiple carriers and show you the differences. What’s covered, what it costs, and what the pros and cons are.

3

Enroll With Confidence

Once we settle on the plan that fits you best, we submit the enrollment. You save my number and can reach out to me with any questions any time. I continue to review plan changes each year to keep you on the best plans.

Turning 65 Soon? Your Enrollment Window Is Already Open.

Medicare has a 7 month enrollment window around your 65th birthday. It is kind of confusing but fortunately it is a very long window. Just make sure you do it in time otherwise you may face penalties and have to wait for a future date to enroll.

Whether you’re 3 months out or 12 months away, now is the time to start planning.

7 Month enrollment window.
Miss it and penalties can
last the rest of your life.

Common Medicare Questions, Answered

These are the questions I hear very frequently, if you have another please call and ask.

What’s the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?

Advantage plans are low premium with co-pays that have extras like dental and vision but you must use a doctor network. Supplement plans fill in the gaps of Original Medicare and let you see any doctor that accepts Medicare, but they are high premiums and don’t include the extras.

Will my doctor accept the plan?

If I am recommending it to you most likely, but it depends on the plan. I always make sure to verify doctors so you can maintain those important relationships.

Are my prescriptions covered?

Every plan has a list of drugs it covers called a formulary. I run your medications through each plan’s formulary to make sure your prescriptions are covered and at a lower cost.

When should I enroll in Medicare?

Most people become eligible at 65. Your enrollment window starts 3 months before your birthday month and ends 3 months after. Everyone’s situation is different and I would recommend calling to verify when it’s right for you. For instance if you are still working and receiving credible coverage I would most likely say you should wait to apply for Part B.

Is there any cost to work with a broker?

Nope! I get paid by the company as long as you are on the plan, which means I want the plan to make you happy and you to stay with them. Nothing changes for you whether or not you work with a broker besides getting more educated help.

I already have a plan. Can you still help?

Yes. During the Annual Election Period (AEP) which is in the fall (October 15 through December 7), you can review and switch plans. They change every year so I highly encourage everyone to reach out. I can check whether your current plan still fits or if there’s a better option for next year.
